Yep. I couldn't believe myself picking up this book yesterday at the bookshop. Guess the book title did its magic. The book is about how we could stay and feel younger. Not so much of reversing or stop aging. You can't stop aging but you can slow it down. So, by slowing down the process of aging, you are lowering the risk of having diseases. Well, I've got to live longer to get my money from CPF right? (Remember? We are allow to get back our hard earn money from the gahman if we reach 80 yrs old.) Yes the book is thick but there are many witty pictures to make reading this kind of subject more fun. And the text are big. Your body is like a city.
After the 1973 success of American Graffiti, George Lucus made the fateful decision to pursue a long-time dream project: a space fantasy movie unlike any ever produced. How it was made is a story as entertaining and exciting as the movie that has enthralled millions for thirty years. Over 350 pages of never-been-seen storyboards and George Lucas's earliest descriptions of the Expanded Universe and more. Just got this from Basheer bookshop last week. Star Wars fans, you don't want to miss this book.
Can you spot Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford? A video excerpts from a taped auditions.
Bought this in 1997, another 1 of my big book collections. The most complete and exclusive collection ever assembled of photographs, behind the scenes production stills, sketches and outtakes. I'm amaze at the props done for the film. From minitures scale-down model spacecrafts to handpainted backdrop scenes. No computer work CGI involve during that time.
This is one book I love to have! Four years in the making, and the most comprehensive look at Ali to date, weighs at 34 kgs and is 50 cm x 50 cm (20" x 20") in size. 800 pages of archival and original photographs, graphic artwork, articles and essays. Limited to 10,000 copies. All individually signed by Muhammad Ali. Price: US$3,600. Ouch. If I have the money I'll buy. Is worth it. All photos during that era are films and not digital. Cameras has less function and are mostly manual. Is more of the skill of the photographer then the camera. And all the black and white photos are stunning. Most of all, its Muhammed Ali, the heavyweight champion of the world! You don't get this in a library!
Since there are so many requests about showing some pictures about this book. I will show 1 spread of the 256 pages. But need to censored abit, ok? More will come, hehe.
Got this hard cover book during the artist exhibition in Taiwan, 1996. Very impress with his works. Couldn't afford the paintings so I bought the book. And now the art market is hot for Chinese Modern Contemporary paintings. If only I had bought 1 that time. The artist is Li Zijian. http://www.lizijian.com/artist.htm/
Finally is here, yipee! Been wanting to get this book but cannot get here. Luckily got a friend who went to India recently and bought for me. Hmmm...very interesting...hehehe. ^.^
