Neil Gaiman's Coraline, Feb 2009.

Coraline (2002) is a novella for children and adults by the British author Neil Gaiman. This story has been compared to Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland books because of its surreality and its alternate-reality based plot. Following the success of the book the adaptation of the plot to the cinema has been decided. As a result an animated movie based on Neil Gaiman's novel should be released in January 2009. The movie uses both stop-motion technics and CGI in order to produce a brand new experience for the spectators.

Terminator: Salvation

The trailer is out. With Christian Bale as John Connor, does this means Hot Toys coming with another Christian Bale Terminator Figure? I wouldn't be surprise since they have the rights to do the terminator years ago. Movie schedule to be release in May next year.

Mummy 3 is boring!

Nothing to comment. Poor casting choices, bad dialogue, wrong props, same old plot. Everything was bad from the begining to end. The director should be fire. Oh, and I've heard Love Guru was bad too. Should have spend my money on a tim sum breakfast.

The Dark Knight. The Joker.

Awesome. This is the best Batman movie I ever watched. Normally in action-packed movie, the subject of discussion would be the plot, the special effects and the gadgets. But this time, is all about The Joker, Heath Ledger. His part in playing The Joker is superb! In fact, the best Joker of all Jokers. This movie should have called The Joker.

"Why so serious?"

Boogie Nights: Star Wars Edition

Boogie Nights: Star Wars Edition. The movie Boogie Nights is about the 70s porn industry seen through the life of a young porn star Dirk Diggler, played by Mark Wahlberg. Who has a huge asset between his legs. Cast: Mark Wahlberg, Burt Reynolds and Julianne Moore. Watch it, if you can get the DVD. Very retro. Anyway, enjoy the clip from youtube. Very well done.

Gatchaman Movie Coming!

Fans of Gatchaman or anime like me will be eager to see this film. Scheduled to be release in 2008. A feature-length CG animated film by Imagi Animation Studios. Oh man, I can already see five caped figures of Ken, Joe, Jun, Jinpei and Ryu in my collection. I hope is a Bandai/Medicom collaboration. Better start saving.

Tales From Earthsea

Still waiting for the movie release here. Been waiting for quite awhile. Released in Japan last year in July and was number 1 on its opening week beating Pirates of the Caribbean in the box office. A feature film from Ghilbli Studio, directed by Goro Miyazaki, son of Hayao Miyazaki. His father is famous for anime film like Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Howling Castle (just to name a few). His work has won many international awards, including the Oscars. Maybe I will have to get the DVD from ebay. Here's the link to the trailer http://www.ghibli.jp/25trailer/ged_lg.html
